Walking through the streets of the village of Castellabate you can still come across traces of the Middle Ages. We meet them in its elegant historic centre, which has a characteristic architectural structure. A tangle of streets, narrow alleys topped by arches and steep stairways follow one another without a precise direction. Now they open up towards a breathtaking view, now they lead to suggestive corners, now in a ravine framed by rich vegetation.<\/h2>\n

The historic territory of the municipality of Castellabate is immersed in the enchanting Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni national park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in historical and naturalistic wonders. Furthermore, even the sea and the coast that surrounds Castellabate are under biological marine protection to preserve their natural and environmental heritage and represent one of the first examples of a marine park in Italy.
