In the small village of Ogliastro there is the possibility of being able to take a nice excursion on the small path suitable for everyone which runs along the natural inlet of Ogliastro marina. The path is short and easy and develops within a beautiful, well-kept pine forest, where you can see and photograph beautiful panoramic views along the entire route.

The path of Antica Oliarola, the bay of Ogliastro Marina and Punta Licosa, are the most delightful, quiet and scenically wonderful sites of the Municipality of Castellabate.

In the early 11th century there was a small port called Oliarola, formerly owned by the Badia di Cava since 1008, used for trade with Sicily and North Africa.
The town center is Piazza Giovanni Paolo II where the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie stands, built in 1869. The square looks like a terrace overlooking the sea from which it is possible to see the cliffs of the Ripe russe and the tip of Ogliastro. ‘Antica Oliarola”, the bay of Ogliastro Marina and Punta Licosa, are the most delightful, quiet and scenically wonderful sites of the Municipality of Castellabate.

The ancient Oliarola, a single path

The beating heart of the place is the pine forest and its marvelous paths such as that of the ancient Oliarola, where it is possible to admire the beauty of nature with its Mediterranean colors and scents.

Inserted in the environmental context of the Cilento National Park, the paths between “Ogliastro Marina and Pozzillo” also arise.

This, like the Antica Oliarola path, extends mainly along the sea with a varied and jagged coast, where rocks, high cliffs, bays and natural coves alternate, distinguished by the tranquility of the place, almost never crowded with tourists.
